Galveston Bay offers great fishing year-round. Summer and Fall are peak seasons. Note: Flounder harvest closes November 1-30 per TPWD regulations.

Galveston Bay is home to speckled trout, redfish, flounder, black drum, sheepshead, and more. In summer, the jetties produce Spanish mackerel and jack crevalle. We typically catch multiple species on each trip.
Absolutely! Bay fishing is perfect for families. The calm, protected waters, steady action, and patient instruction make it ideal for young anglers. Kids 5 and up typically do great.
Sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, snacks, and drinks. We provide all fishing tackle, bait, ice chest, and all required fishing licenses and saltwater endorsements. Wear comfortable clothes that can get wet. We recommend seasick medication if you're prone to motion sickness.
Yes! We'll clean and bag your catch at the dock. Galveston Bay fish make excellent table fare - trout and redfish are especially delicious. All catches are subject to current TPWD size and bag limits.
Safety comes first. We monitor conditions closely and will reschedule if necessary at no charge. Light rain usually doesn't affect fishing - sometimes it even improves it!
We depart from our marina in Galveston. Exact location and Captain Shawn's contact info are sent 24 hours before your trip. The drive from downtown Houston is about 45 minutes.
Gratuity is not included in the trip price and is always appreciated. The standard for fishing charters is 15-20% of the trip cost.
We offer a full refund for cancellations made more than 48 hours before your trip. Weather cancellations are always rescheduled at no charge.
